The ACCUPRO 14797382 is a miniature solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries and small-feature machining applications. It measures 0.03 inches in diameter with a 0.09-inch length of cut (LOC) and a 1.5-inch overall length (OAL). The 1/8-inch shank diameter and two-flute spiral configuration support controlled chip evacuation in fine detail work. An AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at the cutting edge, extending tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. The 30-degree helix angle balances cutting force with surface finish quality. This tool is suited for CNC machining centers and high-speed milling operations where micro-scale accuracy is required.
This end mill is used in applications requiring small-radius profiling, slotting, and 3D contouring at miniature scale. Typical use cases include mold and die work, medical component machining, and aerospace detail parts where feature sizes demand sub-0.1-inch tooling. The single-end geometry and right-hand cut with right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC programming setups. Micrograin carbide construction supports consistent performance in harder workpiece materials where high-speed steel tooling would deflect or wear prematurely.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter. Suitable for milling ferrous metals, hardened steels, and similar materials where AlTiN coating performance is applicable.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the 1/8-inch shank in a collet or end mill holder rated for the shank diameter, ensuring proper runout before cutting. At 0.03 inches in diameter, this tool is highly susceptible to breakage from excessive feed rates, deflection, or improper tool stick-out - follow the tooling manufacturer guidelines for speeds and feeds at this diameter class. Inspect the cutting edge under magnification before each use to confirm the coating and edge geometry are intact.
