The ACCUPRO 14797348 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance needed for demanding cuts in hardened steels, stainless, and non-ferrous alloys. The 3/64 inch (0.0469 inch decimal) mill diameter and 9/64 inch length of cut make this a purpose-built tool for tight-tolerance slotting, profiling, and pocketing in confined features. An AlTiN coating adds thermal and oxidation resistance at elevated cutting temperatures, extending tool life at higher surface speeds. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for light finishing passes and precise feature work on small-scale components where dimensional accuracy is critical. The single-end, right-hand cutting configuration is standard for conventional CNC machining centers and manual milling machines. The 1/8 inch shank diameter allows it to seat in standard collet chucks, end mill holders, and ER collet systems commonly found across vertical and horizontal machining setups. It is a practical choice for mold and die work, micro-component machining, and any application requiring a small-diameter carbide tool with a reliable coating.
Designed as a standard fractional-inch shank square end mill compatible with any milling machine or machining center equipped to accept a 1/8 inch diameter shank via collet, end mill holder, or equivalent tooling system. Part of the ASQSC4-AT-CC-30H series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured with appropriate clamping torque per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before operation. Verify shank runout is within acceptable limits after installation, as small-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to deflection and vibration. Handle micrograin carbide end mills with care to avoid chipping the cutting edges during setup and storage.
