The ACCUPRO 14797312 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication, tool and die, and general machining applications. This single-end tool features a 5/32 inch (0.1562 inch) mill diameter, three right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle, and a bright/uncoated finish. The micrograin carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance at tight tolerances. Center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry, and the extended reach configuration with a 1.25 inch reach length supports milling in deeper cavities without excessive tool deflection. Installed by machinists and tool and die technicians on CNC and manual milling equipment.
This end mill suits precision slot milling, profiling, and pocket milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where tight dimensional control is required. The 15/64 inch length of cut, 3/16 inch shank diameter, and 3 inch overall length make it appropriate for light finishing passes and detail work in mold making, fixture fabrication, and production machining. The bright/uncoated finish is suitable for aluminum, brass, and similar non-ferrous alloys as well as some steels where coating is not required. Extended reach and neck length of 1.875 inches allow access to features that standard-reach end mills cannot reach.
Designed as a direct-fit tooling selection for CNC and manual milling machines accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter. Part of the ACCUPRO ASQSC3-CCER series of square end mills in fractional inch sizing.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures for solid carbide end mills. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the collet or end mill holder. Verify shank diameter compatibility with the toolholder before clamping; shank diameter tolerance is -0.0001/-0.0003 inch. Solid carbide tools are brittle and should not be used to pry or lever against workpiece features during setup.
