The ACCUPRO 14797309 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 1/8 inch (0.125 inch) mill diameter with a 0.187 inch length of cut and a 4 inch overall length. The three-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and a smooth cutting action. An AlTiN coating adds heat and wear resistance, making this tool suitable for demanding dry or semi-dry cutting environments. Micrograin carbide construction supports tight tolerances and longer tool life compared to standard carbide grades. The centercutting design allows for direct plunge entry into workpieces.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills across job shops, toolrooms, and production environments. The extended reach configuration, with a 2.5 inch reach length and a 0.625 inch neck length, allows access to deep pockets, slots, and contoured features that standard-length tooling cannot reach. It is a single-end tool, sold individually, and is appropriate for machinists and toolmakers working with tight-tolerance components where dimensional accuracy is critical.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 1/8 inch straight shank, with a shank diameter tolerance of -0.0001 / -0.0003 inch for secure collet or chuck engagement.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine powered down or in an e-stop state. Verify collet or chuck runout before securing the shank to maintain the stated diameter tolerance. Do not exceed the recommended depth-of-cut range of 0.100 to 0.200 inch for the length of cut without consulting manufacturer feed and speed data. Inspect the tool shank and cutting edges for chips or damage before each use.
