The ACCUPRO 14797290 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking applications. With a 0.095-inch cutting diameter and a 0.142-inch length of cut, this tool is built for tight-tolerance work in small-part machining environments. The three-flute, right-hand spiral geometry paired with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An AlTiN coating extends tool life when cutting ferrous metals and high-temperature alloys. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the edge retention and rigidity needed for accurate, repeatable cuts. This end mill is typically installed and operated by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC programmers.
This end mill suits precision machining applications requiring extended reach capability. With a 0.5-inch reach length and a 2.5-inch overall length on a 0.125-inch shank, it is well suited for accessing recessed features, slots, and pockets in small workpieces. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry into material. Right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with standard CNC machining centers and manual mills running conventional spindle rotation. It falls within the 0.100- to 0.200-inch length-of-cut range class for small-diameter tooling selection.
Designed as a standard small-diameter square end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 0.125-inch round shank.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. The shank must be secured in a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for the 0.125-inch shank diameter, and the holder should be torqued to the machine tool manufacturer's specification. Confirm spindle rotation direction matches the right-hand cutting geometry before engaging the workpiece. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or wear before each use, as small-diameter carbide tools are brittle and susceptible to breakage if run with damaged edges or incorrect feeds and speeds.
