The ACCUPRO 14797238 is a single-end square end mill ground from solid micrograin carbide. It is designed for precise milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where tight tolerances and clean square shoulders are required. The tool measures 0.0625 inches (1/16 inch) in cutting diameter with a 0.093-inch length of cut, a 0.125-inch (1/8 inch) shank diameter, and a 2.5-inch overall length. The 30-degree right-hand spiral with three flutes promotes efficient chip evacuation in light-duty finishing and profiling cuts. The bright, uncoated finish is suitable for general-purpose applications where coating is not required. Machinists and toolroom technicians select this style for small-feature work in molds, dies, and precision fixtures.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers and manual mills used in toolroom, job shop, and production environments. The extended-reach geometry, with a neck length of 0.950 inches and a reach length of 0.750 inches, makes it appropriate for slotting and profiling in confined areas or cavities where a standard-reach tool would interfere. It performs in steel, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials at appropriate feeds and speeds for the 1/16-inch diameter class. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry into the workpiece.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8-inch round shank. Part of the ACCUPRO ASQSC3-CCER series.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Secure the shank in a collet or end mill holder rated for the 0.125-inch shank diameter and torque to the holder specification before beginning a cut. Always verify spindle runout before operating at depth, as small-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to deflection. Inspect the cutting edges before each use and replace at first sign of chipping to prevent workpiece damage.
