The ACCUPRO 14797222 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin carbide stock and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it delivers high heat resistance and extended tool life in demanding cutting environments. The 0.06-inch cutting diameter, 3-flute geometry, and 30-degree helix angle work together to improve chip evacuation and surface finish. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 1/8-inch shank, this single-end tool is sized for small-diameter work on vertical machining centers and CNC mills.
This end mill is suited for finishing and semi-finishing cuts in steel, stainless steel, and other ferrous alloys where heat buildup is a concern. The AlTiN coating makes it a solid choice for dry or near-dry machining conditions. Its extended reach design, with a 0.3-inch reach length beyond the flutes, allows access to features that standard-reach tools cannot reach. Machinists working on mold cavities, slots, pockets, and contoured profiles in hardened materials will find the geometry and coating combination appropriate for those conditions.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8-inch straight shank, with a cutting diameter of 0.06 inches and 3/32-inch length of cut.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. The tool shank must be seated fully and securely in a collet or end mill holder rated for the 1/8-inch shank diameter before operation. Verify spindle runout is within acceptable tolerance before cutting, as small-diameter carbide tools are sensitive to runout and can fracture under eccentric loading. Always confirm feed rate and surface footage parameters match the workpiece material and coating before beginning a cut.
