The ACCUPRO 14797220 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metal-cutting applications. Built from micrograin carbide stock and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), this tool delivers extended tool life and heat resistance at elevated cutting speeds. It runs a 0.06-inch mill diameter with a 3/32-inch (0.0900 inch) length of cut and a 1/8-inch shank diameter. The 30-degree right-hand helix promotes efficient chip evacuation. Three flutes provide a balance of chip clearance and edge strength suited to finishing and light roughing passes. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is sized for small-feature work: slots, pockets, and contour passes in ferrous and non-ferrous alloys, stainless steels, hardened steels, and cast iron where AlTiN coating performance is required. The extended-reach configuration, with a 0.3120-inch neck length and 0.1800-inch reach length, provides clearance when milling deep features relative to the tool diameter. The 2.5-inch overall length fits standard ER and straight-shank collet toolholders with a 1/8-inch bore. Single-end construction means the tool is replaced rather than reversed when worn.

A licensed machinist or qualified CNC operator should install this tool in a clean, properly sized 1/8-inch collet or endmill holder, torquing to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or lockout state before changing tooling. Inspect the collet bore and shank for contamination or wear before seating; a worn collet can induce runout that will break tools at this diameter. Do not exceed the recommended depth-of-cut for the diameter — consult published feeds-and-speeds data for the specific workpiece material and coating type.
