The ACCUPRO 14797207 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. With a 0.05-inch cutting diameter and a 0.075-inch length of cut, this tool is built for fine detail work and tight-tolerance machining. The three-flute, right-hand spiral design with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation while maintaining a smooth cutting action. An AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting hard or abrasive materials. Micrograin carbide construction delivers edge integrity at elevated feeds and speeds. The tool is center-cutting, allowing direct plunge entry. It is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals in CNC milling operations.
This end mill is suited for slot milling, profiling, and finishing passes on ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless alloys, and similarly demanding workpiece materials. The extended reach configuration, with a 0.15-inch reach length and 0.25-inch neck length, makes it practical for machining in recessed areas or stepped features where a standard-reach tool would interfere. The 1/8-inch shank fits standard collet chucks and tool holders commonly used on CNC machining centers and manual mills. Single-end design means the tool is used from one end only.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 1/8-inch collet chucks or compatible tool holders accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Ensure the collet and tool holder are clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Shank diameter tolerance is -0.0001 / -0.0003 inches; verify collet size compatibility before use. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling supplier recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type.
