The ACCUPRO 14797182 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and other hard materials. With a 0.04-inch cutting diameter and a 0.06-inch length of cut, this tool is built for fine-detail work and tight-tolerance applications where rigidity and accuracy are critical. The 3-flute geometry with a 30-degree right-hand helix balances chip evacuation with surface finish quality. Micrograin carbide construction delivers edge retention and wear resistance well beyond high-speed steel alternatives. The bright, uncoated finish makes it suitable for non-ferrous metals and plastics where coating adhesion is unnecessary. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling professionals are the primary installers and users of this end mill.
This end mill is suited for light to moderate material removal in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual mills with appropriate collet or chuck setups. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard 1/8-inch collets and ER collet systems. The extended reach configuration, with a 0.2-inch reach length and 2.5-inch overall length, allows access to recessed features and deep pockets. Single-end design means the tool is replaced when worn rather than flipped. It is well suited for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations where small-diameter precision cutting is required.
Designed as a drop-in replacement for standard 1/8-inch shank, 0.04-inch diameter square end mills used in CNC and manual milling applications. Fits any machine spindle or collet system accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC tooling technician using an appropriate collet, ER chuck, or end mill holder rated for 1/8-inch shanks. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked before changing tooling. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating the shank to confirm concentricity before cutting. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the material being machined, as small-diameter carbide end mills are susceptible to breakage under excessive load or vibration.
