The ACCUPRO 14797175 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.035-inch cutting diameter and a 0.052-inch length of cut, this tool is built for tight-tolerance work in small-feature applications. The three-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An AlTiN coating adds heat and wear resistance, extending tool life in harder workpiece materials. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the rigidity and edge retention required for repeatable results in production and prototype machining alike. This end mill is single-end and center-cutting, allowing plunge entry where the application calls for it.
This end mill is suited for small-feature milling operations including slots, pockets, and profiles in ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and high-temperature alloys. The extended-reach design, with a 0.187-inch reach length and a 1/8-inch shank diameter, makes it appropriate for accessing recessed features or deep cavities where clearance is limited. It is a common choice in CNC machining centers, tool rooms, and precision job shops handling close-tolerance components. Machinists and CNC operators working on aerospace, medical, and mold-and-die applications will find the AlTiN coating and micrograin carbide well matched to those material requirements.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with a 1/8-inch collet or end mill holder. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard ER11, ER16, and similarly sized collet systems commonly used with miniature tooling setups.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in a safe state before tooling changes. Use a properly sized collet that matches the 0.125-inch shank diameter and torque the collet nut to the tool holder manufacturer specification. At this diameter, tool runout has a significant effect on tool life and surface finish, so check runout after installation and before cutting.
