The ACCUPRO 14797169 is a single-end square end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it handles demanding materials including hardened steels, stainless, and high-temp alloys. The 1/32 inch (0.0312 inch) cutting diameter and 0.046 inch length of cut make it well suited for fine detail work and micro-slot milling. With a 1/8 inch shank diameter and 2-1/2 inch overall length, it mounts in standard collet chucks and tool holders used across CNC machining centers and manual mills. Machinists, tool-and-die shops, and precision fabrication teams are the primary users.
This end mill is intended for small-feature milling, micro-engraving, and slot work where a full-size end mill cannot access. The extended reach design (0.375 inch reach length) allows cutting in recessed pockets and stepped features. The 30-degree helix and spiral flute geometry support chip evacuation in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Centercutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation are standard for conventional CNC spindle setups.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and similar equipment accepting a 1/8 inch shank via collet, end mill holder, or shrink-fit tooling. Suited for milling ferrous metals, stainless steel, high-temp alloys, and hard non-ferrous materials where an AlTiN coating and micrograin carbide substrate are appropriate.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and locked out before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the shank fully into the collet or tool holder to the minimum clamping depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer to prevent deflection at this small diameter. At 1/32 inch cutting diameter, tool runout tolerance is critical — verify holder and spindle runout before committing to production cuts.
