The ACCUPRO 14797135 is a solid carbide square end mill engineered for precise, small-diameter milling operations. With a 0.015-inch cutting diameter and a 0.022-inch length of cut, this tool is purpose-built for fine detail work, micro-slot milling, and tight-tolerance profiling in hard and difficult-to-machine materials. The micrograin carbide construction delivers the rigidity and edge retention required at this diameter. Three flutes provide a balance of chip evacuation and cutting edge strength, while the 30-degree right-hand helix promotes smooth cutting action and reduces deflection. Licensed machinists and tooling professionals working in precision job shops, mold and die, or aerospace component manufacturing are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for small-scale milling applications where dimensional accuracy is critical. At 0.015 inches in diameter, it is commonly deployed in micro-milling, engraving passes, and fine-feature cavity work on CNC machining centers. The 2.5-inch overall length with a 1/8-inch shank diameter makes it compatible with standard collet systems. The 0.078-inch reach length supports extended-reach applications where the tool must clear part geometry before engaging the cut.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with standard 1/8-inch collets or collet chucks accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter. Suitable for length-of-cut applications up to 0.100 inches per the specified range.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and all power is off before changing tooling. Use a properly sized, clean collet matched to the 0.125-inch shank and torque the collet nut to the machine manufacturer's specification. At micro diameters, runout must be minimized — inspect collet and toolholder for wear before use, as even slight runout can cause tool breakage at this diameter.
