The ACCUPRO 14797128 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 3 mm (0.1181 inches) cutting diameter and a 0.177-inch length of cut, this single-end tool delivers consistent material removal in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating improves heat resistance and tool life during high-speed dry or semi-dry cutting. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Machined from micrograin solid carbide, this end mill holds tight tolerances and resists wear in demanding applications. It is sized for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills with a 1/8-inch shank collet or chuck.
This end mill is suited for light profiling, slotting, and finishing passes in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and hard alloys. Its compact diameter makes it well-suited for detail work, small-feature pocketing, and tight-tolerance contouring. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle setups. Typical users include machinists, tool-and-die makers, and job shop operators running production or prototype work on CNC machining centers.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with a 1/8-inch collet, end mill holder, or equivalent toolholding system that accepts a 0.1250-inch shank diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool runout and collet torque. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Verify collet size matches the 1/8-inch shank diameter before seating. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut for the 0.177-inch length of cut to avoid tool deflection or breakage.
