The ACCUPRO 14797107 is a solid micrograin carbide square end mill designed for high-precision milling of ferrous and difficult-to-machine materials. It carries an AlTiN coating that improves heat resistance and tool life in dry and semi-dry cutting environments. The cutting diameter is 1 mm (0.0390 inches) with a 0.117-inch length of cut, making it suited for fine-detail work in die, mold, and precision component machining. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This is a single-end, right-hand cutting tool with a right-hand spiral flute and a 1/8-inch shank. It is installed and used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals on CNC milling machines and machining centers.
This end mill is appropriate for small-feature milling operations in tool rooms, job shops, and production machining environments. The 1 mm diameter makes it well suited for slot milling, profiling, and finishing passes where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required. The centercutting design allows plunge entry into workpieces. It is a single-end tool, so once the cutting end is worn it is not reversible. The 1/8-inch shank diameter is compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders sized for that shank.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and milling machines equipped with collet chucks or end mill holders accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter. Part of the ACCUPRO ASQSC2-AT-CC-30H series.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for tool holding and runout. Ensure the spindle and tool holder are clean and free of chips before seating the shank. Verify shank seating depth meets the tool holder minimum grip requirement to prevent pullout under load. Do not exceed the recommended depth-of-cut for 1 mm diameter carbide tools, as micro-diameter end mills are sensitive to deflection and breakage.
