The ACCUPRO 14797089 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in tight tolerances and small-feature applications. With a 1/64 inch (0.0156 inch) cutting diameter and a 0.045 inch length of cut, this tool is built for micro-scale work where dimensional accuracy is critical. The micrograin carbide construction delivers the hardness and edge retention needed to maintain tolerances at small diameters. A 30-degree helix angle and two right-hand spiral flutes promote chip evacuation and reduce cutting forces. This end mill is used by machinists and tool-and-die technicians working on precision components, mold cavities, and fine-feature machining operations.
This tool is suited for small-part machining, engraving, and detail work on ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a micro-diameter cutter is required. The 1/8 inch shank diameter allows it to seat in standard collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The bright uncoated finish makes it a general-purpose choice across a range of workpiece materials. Extended reach geometry supports access to recessed features without tool interference.
Designed for use in standard 1/8 inch collet chucks and end mill holders on CNC machining centers, CNC routers, and manual milling machines that accept the ASQSC2-CCER-30H series micro end mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's toolholder torque and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle and toolholder are clean and free of debris before seating the shank. At this diameter, even minor runout will significantly affect tool life and cut quality — verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut. Coolant-through is not supported; use external coolant or mist as appropriate for the workpiece material.
