The ACCUPRO 14797086 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 1/64 inch (0.0156 inch) cutting diameter and a 0.022 inch length of cut, this tool is built for fine detail work where tight tolerances are required. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extends tool life under high-speed cutting conditions. The micrograin carbide substrate supports rigidity in small-diameter applications where deflection and breakage are common concerns. Two flutes with a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix promote efficient chip evacuation in confined cutting zones. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and toolroom technicians working on CNC mills and manual milling equipment.
This end mill is suited for light finishing passes and fine feature milling in hardened steels, stainless alloys, cast iron, and similar materials where a small-diameter center-cutting tool is required. The 1/8 inch shank diameter makes it compatible with standard collets and tool holders used in CNC machining centers, die-sinking operations, and precision mold work. The single-end configuration and 1.5 inch overall length allow it to reach into shallow pockets and slots without excessive overhang.
Designed for use with standard 1/8 inch collets and tool holders on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines that accept straight-shank end mills.
This tool is installed and operated by qualified machinists. Before changing tooling, ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state per shop safety procedures. Seat the shank fully into the collet and torque the drawbar or collet nut to the machine manufacturer's specified value. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning cuts, as excessive runout accelerates wear and breakage on small-diameter carbide tools.
