The ACCUPRO 14797043 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision metal cutting in CNC machining and manual milling operations. With a 0.023-inch cutting diameter and a 0.035-inch length of cut, this tool is built for micro-milling applications where tight tolerances and fine detail are required. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating extends tool life in high-heat cutting environments and improves wear resistance when machining ferrous and hardened materials. Micrograin carbide construction provides rigidity and edge retention at small diameters. Installed by machinists and tool-and-die professionals, this end mill is a single-end, right-hand cutting tool with a right-hand spiral flute configuration.
This end mill is suited for micro-milling operations in aerospace, medical device, mold-and-die, and precision parts manufacturing environments. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard collet systems commonly used on CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles. With a 30-degree helix angle and four flutes, it is optimized for finish cuts and fine detail work in materials such as hardened steels, stainless steel, and titanium alloys where chip evacuation and surface finish are priorities.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for 0.023-inch diameter square end mills using a 0.125-inch shank in standard ER and precision collet systems on CNC machining centers and high-speed milling spindles.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists following standard toolroom procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or powered-down state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet to the recommended engagement depth per the collet manufacturer's specification and torque the collet nut using a calibrated spanner wrench. At this diameter, runout control is critical — verify TIR with a dial indicator before beginning a cut.
