The ACCUPRO 14797042 is a square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride), this tool delivers hard-material cutting performance at elevated temperatures. The 0.022-inch diameter and 0.033-inch length of cut make it suited to fine-detail and micro-milling work. With four flutes and a 30-degree right-hand helix, it produces efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. Center-cutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as peripheral cuts. Installed by CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals, this end mill handles demanding finishing and slotting passes in ferrous and non-ferrous alloys.
This end mill is intended for micro-milling applications where tight tolerances and small-diameter tooling are required. It is well suited to mold and die work, medical device components, aerospace detail parts, and precision instrument manufacturing. The AlTiN coating extends tool life in hard alloys, stainless steels, and high-temp materials by providing oxidation resistance and a low coefficient of friction. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collets commonly found on CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle systems. Single-end configuration means the tool is replaced rather than indexed when worn.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use micro end mill for CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles accepting a 1/8-inch shank collet.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's collet torque and runout specifications. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Verify collet condition and cleanliness before seating the shank to maintain concentricity within acceptable runout limits. At 0.022-inch diameter, this tool is highly susceptible to breakage from excessive feed rates, side loading, or collet contamination — follow established micro-milling feeds and speeds for the workpiece material.
