The ACCUPRO 14797025 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous materials in CNC machining operations. It has a 0.085-inch cutting diameter and a 0.128-inch length of cut, making it well suited for small-feature work, slot milling, and profiling in tight geometries. The tool features an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, which improves heat resistance and extends tool life at elevated cutting speeds. A 30-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This end mill is manufactured from micrograin solid carbide for consistent edge sharpness and wear resistance. It is typically installed and run by CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill is intended for single-end use in vertical machining centers, CNC routers, and similar machine tools where small-diameter, high-precision cutting is required. It is suited for milling hardened steels, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys where the AlTiN coating provides a thermal barrier at the cutting edge. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks and other small-bore toolholding systems. Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom professional. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or collet is properly released before inserting or removing the end mill. Use a clean, undamaged collet and tighten to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque using a calibrated wrench. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or wear before each use, and verify runout with a dial indicator after seating to protect part tolerances and tool life.
