The ACCUPRO 14797005 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling of small-diameter features in metal and non-metallic workpieces. It carries a 0.036-inch cutting diameter, a 0.054-inch length of cut, and a 2-flute spiral geometry with a 30-degree helix angle. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the edge retention and rigidity needed for tight-tolerance work at these micro diameters. The bright, uncoated finish suits applications where coating interaction with the workpiece material is a concern. It is a single-end tool installed by machinists and toolroom technicians on CNC machining centers and precision manual mills.
This end mill is suited for micro-milling operations where fine detail and dimensional accuracy are critical. The 0.036-inch diameter makes it appropriate for slot milling, profiling, and pocketing in small-scale features found in mold and die work, medical components, electronics fixtures, and precision mechanical parts. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle rotation. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard collet systems commonly available on vertical machining centers and micro-milling platforms.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-sourced tooling option for 0.125-inch collet systems on CNC vertical machining centers and precision micro-milling platforms that accept standard straight-shank end mills.
This tool is installed and changed by machinists or CNC toolroom personnel. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the 0.125-inch shank fully and evenly in the collet before tightening to the collet nut torque specification defined by the collet manufacturer. At this diameter, runout control is critical — verify TIR with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut.
