The ACCUPRO 14796902 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 0.028-inch cutting diameter and a 0.084-inch length of cut, this tool is built for small-feature work where dimensional accuracy is critical. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating provides high heat resistance and extended tool life when cutting hardened steels, stainless, and other difficult-to-machine alloys. The micrograin carbide substrate adds toughness and edge retention at the microscale. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling specialists working on precision parts in job shop, aerospace, medical, and mold and die applications.
This end mill suits applications requiring tight tolerances on small features, slots, and profiles. The 0.028-inch diameter and regular-length configuration make it appropriate for shallow slotting, profiling, and finishing passes on miniature or intricate components. The 2-flute geometry supports chip evacuation in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collet systems commonly found on CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups. Right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC milling operations.
Designed as an OEM-style cutting tool for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed milling spindles accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter via ER or similar collet systems.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully in the collet and torque the collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer specification. At this diameter, runout must be minimized before initiating cuts, as even small amounts of runout significantly reduce tool life and dimensional accuracy. Do not use this tool beyond its rated length of cut or at feed and speed parameters outside the manufacturer guidelines for the workpiece material.
