The ACCUPRO 14796883 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in tight geometries and micro-scale applications. With a 0.008-inch cutting diameter and a 0.024-inch length of cut, this tool is built for high-accuracy work in hard materials where tool rigidity and edge sharpness are critical. The micrograin carbide substrate supports fine edge geometry and resists chipping under demanding cutting conditions. Two flutes with a 30-degree right-hand helix provide efficient chip evacuation and balanced cutting forces. A bright, uncoated finish makes this end mill well suited for non-ferrous metals, plastics, and other materials where a coating could affect dimensional performance.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers, micro-milling operations, and precision toolroom applications where extremely small feature sizes are required. The 0.125-inch shank diameter fits standard collets and tool holders used in benchtop and full-size CNC mills. Its regular-length designation and 1.5-inch overall length make it compatible with typical short-reach setups. Machinists working on mold cavities, medical components, electronic housings, and intricate prototype parts will find this tool appropriate for detail passes and slot milling at the micro scale.
Designed as a standard single-end square end mill with a 0.125-inch shank for use in collet-style tool holders on CNC milling machines and machining centers configured for micro tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in a clean, undamaged collet to the appropriate engagement depth to prevent runout. Verify shank and collet bore are free of chips or coolant residue before tightening. At this diameter, even minor runout will significantly reduce tool life and dimensional accuracy.
