The ACCUPRO 14796330 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance machining applications. It features a 0.0938-inch cutting diameter with a 0.015-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life. With 4 flutes, a 30-degree helix angle, and a spiral flute geometry, it generates efficient chip evacuation during profiling and slotting operations. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and hardness retention at elevated cutting temperatures. Micrograin carbide construction gives the tool edge integrity needed for demanding ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This end mill is a single-end, centercutting design, allowing plunge entry in addition to peripheral cuts.
The 14796330 belongs to the Miniature series, making it suited for small-feature milling work in die and mold machining, aerospace components, medical device manufacturing, and precision part production. The 0.279-inch length of cut and 1.5-inch overall length position it as a compact tool for shallow-to-moderate depth profiles and contours. A 1/8-inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks and high-speed spindles commonly used in CNC machining centers handling miniature work. Right-hand cutting direction and right-hand flute spiral are standard configurations compatible with conventional CNC mill setups.
Designed as an OEM-style precision cutting tool for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter collet or tool holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully powered down and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Use a calibrated torque wrench on the collet nut per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation, as miniature-diameter end mills are especially sensitive to runout-induced breakage.
