The ACCUPRO 14796317 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance applications. It features a 0.0938-inch mill diameter, a 0.005-inch corner radius, and four flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration with a 30-degree helix angle. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry and full side milling in one tool. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 0.279-inch length of cut, this miniature-series cutter is built for work in confined areas where a standard-diameter end mill cannot reach. Machining professionals and tool-and-die shops use this type of cutter for finishing slots, pockets, and contoured features in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill fits production and prototype machining environments where small-diameter, close-tolerance cuts are required. The miniature series designation makes it suited to mold work, medical component machining, aerospace detail parts, and precision instrument manufacturing. The bright uncoated finish is compatible with a wide range of cutting fluids and is commonly chosen when post-machining inspection or regrinding is anticipated. A 1/8-inch shank diameter allows use in standard collets and end mill holders found on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature corner radius end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines equipped with a 1/8-inch collet or end mill holder.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 1/8-inch shank fully into the collet and tighten to the holder manufacturer's specified torque range using the appropriate spanner or collet wrench. At small diameters, runout control is critical — verify TIR at the collet face before beginning the cut to avoid premature edge failure.
