The ACCUPRO 14796304 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in tight-tolerance machining applications. With a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) mill diameter, a 0.0200 inch corner radius, and four flutes in a right-hand spiral configuration, this miniature single-end tool delivers clean cuts with reduced chipping at part edges. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when machining hardened steels, stainless, and high-temp alloys at elevated speeds. The micrograin carbide substrate supports the fine geometry needed at this diameter class. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling specialists are the primary users of this end mill.
This end mill is suited for finish milling, slotting, and contouring in precision CNC machining centers where small-diameter tools are required. The miniature series designation and 0.186 inch length of cut make it appropriate for shallow-depth passes in tight pockets and fine-feature work on molds, dies, medical components, and aerospace parts. The centercutting design allows plunge entry. At 1-1/2 inch overall length with a 1/8 inch shank diameter, this tool fits standard 1/8 inch collets and tool holders commonly used in high-speed machining setups.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindles equipped with 1/8 inch collets or end mill holders; the 1/8 inch shank diameter is a standard fit for miniature-series tooling systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify runout after installation using a dial indicator; excessive runout at miniature diameters will accelerate tool wear and compromise part tolerance. Follow the tool manufacturer and machine builder guidelines for speed, feed, and depth-of-cut parameters appropriate to this diameter and coating.
