The ACCUPRO 14796297 is a miniature solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in demanding machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride), it delivers extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The cutter measures 0.0469 inches in diameter with a 0.0150-inch corner radius, a 1.25-inch length of cut, and a 1.5-inch overall length. The 30-degree helix angle and four-flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. It is a single-end, centercutting tool with right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction, suited for machinists working in hardened steels, stainless, and high-temp alloys.
This end mill is used in CNC milling applications requiring tight tolerances and fine detail work at small diameters. The miniature series designation makes it appropriate for die and mold work, micro-component machining, and finishing passes in confined geometries. A 1/8-inch shank diameter allows it to seat in standard collets on vertical machining centers and CNC routers configured for small-diameter tooling. It is typically specified by tool-and-die machinists, precision shop programmers, and CNC operators working with detailed cavity or contour features.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature corner radius end mill for use in standard 1/8-inch collet systems on CNC milling machines configured for small-diameter solid carbide tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and powered down before inserting or removing the tool from the collet. Seat the shank fully into a clean, undamaged collet and torque the collet nut to the collet manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use, as miniature carbide tools are susceptible to chipping if mishandled or dropped.
