The ACCUPRO 14796294 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in tight tolerances and miniature-scale applications. The cutter features a 0.0469 inch mill diameter, a 0.005 inch corner radius, and four right-hand spiral flutes ground from micrograin carbide for edge retention in hardened or abrasive materials. With a 0.141 inch length of cut and a 1.5 inch overall length, this single-end tool fits compact toolholding setups and small CNC machining centers. The bright/uncoated finish makes it suitable for non-ferrous metals, plastics, and other materials where coating buildup would be a concern. Machinists and toolroom operators working in precision shops, mold making, and prototype machining are the typical end users.
This end mill is suited for miniature milling operations on CNC vertical machining centers and milling machines where small-diameter tooling is required. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry in addition to peripheral and slot milling. The 30-degree helix angle promotes chip evacuation and smooth cutting action on shallow passes typical of small-diameter work. A 0.125 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet systems and small-bore toolholders used in high-speed machining and die/mold work.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature end mill compatible with standard 0.125 inch bore ER collets and small-diameter toolholding systems used on CNC milling machines and machining centers.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the collet or toolholder. Seat the shank fully into the collet and torque the nut to the collet manufacturer's specification for the 0.125 inch shank size. Inspect the cutting edges under magnification before use, as small-diameter carbide tooling is brittle and susceptible to chipping if mishandled.
