The ACCUPRO 14796293 is a miniature corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in hardened and difficult-to-machine materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN, it delivers high heat resistance and extended tool life in demanding cutting environments. The cutter measures 0.045 inches in diameter with a 0.005 inch corner radius, a 0.135 inch length of cut, and a 1.5 inch overall length. With four flutes and a 30-degree right-hand spiral helix, it produces consistent chip evacuation and smooth finishes in tight geometries. This tool is typically installed and operated by machinists and tooling specialists in CNC machining centers.
This end mill is suited for finish milling, profiling, and contouring in miniature part applications where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, giving it flexibility in multi-axis programs. The 3/16 inch shank fits standard collet systems used in CNC vertical machining centers and high-speed spindles. It is commonly applied in aerospace, medical device, and mold and die work where small-diameter tooling and close corner radius tolerances are critical. The AlTiN coating extends tool life when cutting alloy steels, stainless steels, and hardened workpieces without coolant or at elevated cutting speeds.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature end mill for use in CNC machining centers equipped with standard collet toolholders accepting a 3/16 inch shank diameter.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine spindle fully stopped and locked out per applicable safety procedures. Seat the shank fully into a clean, properly sized collet or toolholder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the cutting edges and corner radius under magnification before use, as miniature carbide tools are brittle and sensitive to handling damage. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines for spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut appropriate to the workpiece material and tool diameter.
