The ACCUPRO 14796289 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for tight-tolerance machining in miniature and micro-scale applications. It features a 0.0312 inch cutting diameter with a 0.01 inch corner radius that blends the floor and wall of a cut to reduce stress concentrations and improve surface finish. The flute length (LOC) is 0.093 inches, with a measured length of cut of 0.4724 inches, and an overall length of 1.5 inches on a 0.125 inch shank. The AlTiN coating provides excellent heat resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures, making this tool well suited for hardened steels, stainless, and high-temp alloys. Licensed machinists and CNC tool-room technicians are the primary installers and operators of this end mill.
This end mill is designed for use in CNC machining centers, CNC mills, and high-speed micro-milling operations where a small-diameter, corner-radiused tool profile is required. It is particularly applicable in die and mold work, medical component machining, and precision part production where floor radii, slot profiles, or contoured surfaces must be held to tight tolerances. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as peripheral and slot milling within the miniature series range.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature series corner radius end mill compatible with standard 0.125 inch shank collets and tool holders used in CNC machining centers and high-speed micro-milling setups.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe, locked-out state. Use a calibrated collet or shrink-fit holder rated for the 0.125 inch shank diameter to ensure minimal runout. Verify tool projection and reach against the programmed toolpath before cycle start. At this diameter, excessive side load or improper feed rates significantly increase breakage risk — confirm feeds and speeds against the material being cut before running.
