The ACCUPRO 14796270 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations requiring tight tolerances and a controlled edge radius. Built on a miniature series platform, this single-end tool features a 1/8 inch cutting diameter, a 0.0300 inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle. The AlTiN coating extends tool life in harder workpiece materials by reducing heat buildup at the cutting edge. Centercutting geometry allows plunge entry as well as conventional profiling and contouring passes. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in tool and die, mold making, and precision component machining are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes in ferrous and hardened materials where a small, consistent corner radius is required to meet part geometry or stress-relief specifications. The extended reach design, with a 5/8 inch reach length and 0.375 inch length of cut, allows access to recessed features, slots, and pockets in molds or dies without interference from the shank. The miniature series designation makes it appropriate for micro-machining applications and small-feature work on CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cutting tool for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/8 inch straight shank end mill in standard collet or chuck toolholding systems.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is secured in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder before tightening. Verify runout at the cutting diameter before beginning a production run, as excessive runout accelerates wear on small-diameter carbide tooling. Follow shop-specific speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and coating type, and inspect the corner radius condition regularly during use.
