The ACCUPRO 14796245 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of tight-tolerance features in hardened and abrasion-resistant workpiece materials. The cutting diameter is 0.0781 inches with a 0.0050-inch corner radius, a 3-flute right-hand spiral geometry, and a 30-degree helix angle. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. This is a single-end, centercutting tool capable of plunge and slot operations. It belongs to ACCUPRO's Miniature series and is sized for applications requiring fine detail work in die, mold, and precision component machining.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and high-speed spindle setups where small-diameter tooling is required. The 0.0781-inch diameter and 1.5-inch length of cut make it appropriate for deep-reach finishing passes in narrow slots, pockets, and contoured surfaces. The extended-reach design, with a reach length of 0.4060 inches and a shank diameter of 0.125 inches (1/8 inch), accommodates setups where standard-reach tooling cannot access the workpiece geometry. Typical applications include mold cavities, aerospace components, and precision instrument parts machined from steel, stainless steel, titanium, and similar hard materials.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and precision milling spindles accepting a 0.125-inch (1/8-inch) shank. Part of the ACCUPRO Miniature series of small-diameter solid carbide end mills.
This tool is installed by a machinist or CNC setup technician. Secure the 0.125-inch shank in a precision collet or end mill holder rated for the intended spindle speed and runout tolerance. Verify tool runout before initiating a cut, as small-diameter carbide end mills are sensitive to spindle and holder concentricity. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and shop process guidelines for feeds, speeds, and depth of cut appropriate to the workpiece material and coating type.
