The ACCUPRO 14796243 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-precision milling operations where tight tolerances and fine surface finishes are required. Built in the miniature series, it features a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) mill diameter, a 0.0150 inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a 30-degree helix angle. The AlTiN coating improves heat resistance and tool life in demanding cutting environments. At 2.5 inches overall length with a 1/8 inch shank diameter, this single-end, centercutting tool is suited for close-tolerance work in hard materials. It is installed by machinists and tooling professionals working in precision manufacturing, mold making, and general CNC machining.
This end mill is applied in operations requiring fine-detail material removal, including slot milling, profiling, and contour work in compact or difficult-to-reach areas. The extended reach design and miniature form factor make it well suited for deep pocket milling and intricate cavity work. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry. Right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional CNC vertical and horizontal milling setups. It performs in ferrous and non-ferrous metals as well as hardened steels where AlTiN coating provides thermal and oxidation resistance.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature corner radius end mill compatible with standard CNC milling machine spindles accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter collet or toolholder.
Installation and tool changes must be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully powered down and locked out per applicable machine safety procedures. Seat the 1/8 inch shank securely in a matched collet or end mill holder to the full recommended engagement depth before tightening. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning any cut. Miniature carbide tooling is brittle and should not be subjected to excessive side loads or impact during handling or setup.
