The ACCUPRO 14796238 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of tight-tolerance features in hardened and abrasive materials. With a 1/16 inch cutting diameter and a 0.010 inch corner radius, it is built for miniature-scale work where edge integrity and dimensional accuracy are critical. The AlTiN coating provides high-temperature resistance and extended tool life in dry or semi-dry cutting conditions. This is a single-end, centercutting tool with 3 right-hand spiral flutes and a 30-degree helix angle, suited for machinists working in CNC machining centers or high-speed die and mold applications.
This end mill fits into the miniature series category and is intended for fine-detail milling operations in hardened steels, stainless, titanium, and similar difficult-to-machine alloys. The extended reach design allows access to deeper cavities or stepped features without sacrificing rigidity. It is typically used by tool and die makers, CNC machinists, and precision job shop operators running small-diameter work in mold cavities, medical components, or aerospace detail parts. The 1/8 inch shank diameter fits standard collet toolholders commonly found in CNC milling setups.
Designed for use in CNC milling machines with standard 1/8 inch collet toolholders. Suited for miniature-series milling applications in hardened steels, stainless steels, titanium, and other abrasive alloys.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with small-diameter carbide tooling. Ensure the collet and toolholder are clean and free of runout before seating the 1/8 inch shank, as micrograin carbide at this diameter is sensitive to deflection and vibration. Set appropriate feed rates and spindle speeds per the material being cut and do not exceed the recommended length of cut of 0.093 inches to avoid tool deflection or breakage. Handle with care — carbide end mills at this diameter are brittle and can fracture if dropped or subjected to lateral impact.
