The ACCUPRO 14796199 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision material removal in tight-tolerance machining applications. It features a 0.0312-inch cutting diameter with a 0.01-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the tool tip and improves surface finish in slotting and profiling passes. The 2-flute, right-hand spiral geometry supports efficient chip evacuation in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 0.093-inch length of cut, this miniature-series tool is built for close-clearance work where full-size end mills cannot reach. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this tool in CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring fine detail cuts.
This end mill is suited for small-feature milling operations in prototype shops, mold and die work, and precision component manufacturing. The miniature series designation targets applications where workpiece geometry demands very small-diameter tooling. The bright uncoated finish makes it well-suited for non-ferrous materials such as aluminum, brass, and copper, as well as plastics and other soft substrates where coated tools can cause adhesion issues. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry in addition to peripheral and slot milling.

This tool is installed by machinists or CNC setup technicians using a 1/8-inch collet or matching tool holder — verify holder runout before use, as excessive runout accelerates wear on small-diameter carbide tools. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the end mill. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended depth of cut or feed rates for the workpiece material, as carbide miniature tools are brittle and susceptible to fracture under side-loading or chatter conditions. Confirm shank seating depth meets the tool holder minimum grip length before engaging the cut.
