The ACCUPRO 14796198 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of small features and tight-tolerance profiles. With a 0.0312-inch cutting diameter and a 0.005-inch corner radius, this tool reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding materials. The 2-flute geometry and 30-degree helix promote chip evacuation in miniature-scale cuts. At 1.5 inches overall length with a 1/8-inch shank diameter and a 0.093-inch length of cut, it fits standard collet systems used in CNC machining centers, toolroom mills, and precision die and mold work. The micrograin carbide substrate supports tight tolerances and repeatable results in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is built for miniature-series applications where small diameter cutters are required. Typical use cases include engraving, slotting, profiling, and contouring on small workpieces or in confined areas. The centercutting design allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute spiral make it compatible with standard CNC spindle configurations. It is well-suited for use in tool and die shops, prototype machining, medical component manufacturing, and electronics enclosure work where fine feature detail and dimensional accuracy are critical.
Designed as an OEM-style miniature end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 1/8-inch collet or chuck toolholding systems.
Installation and use should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before seating the shank. Verify runout after clamping, as excessive runout at this diameter will accelerate tool wear and compromise dimensional accuracy. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and tooling supplier recommended feeds and speeds for the specific workpiece material.
