The ACCUPRO 14788626 is a 2-flute, solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-performance milling operations in demanding machining environments. With a 0.75 inch mill diameter and a 3 inch length of cut, this tool is built for deep-cavity profiling, contouring, and finish milling on hardened steels, stainless alloys, cast iron, and similar workpiece materials. The AlTiN+ coating provides excellent thermal resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures, extending tool life in dry or semi-dry machining applications. A cylindrical shank at 0.75 inches in diameter ensures secure, concentric clamping in standard ER collets or hydraulic toolholders. Machinists and CNC programmers working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments will find this end mill suited for 3-axis and multi-axis profiling work.
This ball end mill is appropriate for use in vertical and horizontal machining centers where contour milling, 3D surface finishing, and radius profiling are common operations. The medium flute geometry supports a balance of chip evacuation and surface finish quality. The 6 inch overall length provides adequate reach for deeper setups without requiring an extended-reach variant. It is packaged as a single unit and is suited for both prototype and production runs where dimensional accuracy and surface finish quality are priorities.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers accepting 0.75 inch cylindrical shank end mills in ER, shrink-fit, or hydraulic toolholding systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Verify collet or toolholder runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout reduces tool life and surface finish quality. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque guidelines when tightening collet nuts or retention knobs.
