The ACCUPRO 14788615 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hardened materials. With a 0.75 inch cutting diameter and a 1 inch length of cut, this 2-flute tool delivers accurate contouring, profiling, and 3D surface work on CNC machining centers and manual mills. The AlTiN+ coating provides high heat resistance and extended tool life in demanding cutting environments. The cylindrical shank measures 0.75 inches in diameter, matching the cutter diameter for straightforward toolholder setup. Solid carbide construction offers the rigidity and wear resistance required for tight-tolerance work at elevated feeds and speeds.
This end mill is suited for shops running ferrous alloys, stainless steels, hardened tool steels, and similar difficult-to-machine materials. The medium flute geometry supports chip evacuation in both finishing and semi-finishing passes. With a 3 inch overall length and no extended reach, the 14788615 is best applied in setups where minimal overhang is achievable, reducing deflection and improving surface finish. It is a direct-pull replacement for worn or broken tooling in existing programs without parameter changes, provided shank and diameter specs match the original tool.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement solid carbide ball end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills using 0.75 inch diameter end mill holders or ER collet chucks sized for a 0.75 inch cylindrical shank.
Installation is performed by machinists and CNC setup technicians. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the toolholder to the recommended gauge length and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or wear before each use, and confirm runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run.
