The ACCUPRO 14788600 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling of contoured surfaces, slots, and 3D profiles in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It measures 0.375 inches in diameter with a 0.875 inch length of cut and a 2.5 inch overall length. The two-flute geometry and medium flute type support efficient chip evacuation in a range of milling conditions. The AlTiN+ coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection, extending tool life in high-speed and dry cutting applications. This tool is used by machinists and tool-and-die professionals working on CNC machining centers and manual mills where a ball-nose profile is required.
This end mill suits applications in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments where contour milling, die work, and radius profiling are common. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before loading or removing the tool. Secure the shank to the minimum recommended insertion depth for the holder type in use to maintain rigidity and prevent pullout. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping and before initiating any cutting cycle.
