The ACCUPRO 14788593 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for precision milling of contoured surfaces, slots, and complex 3D profiles. With a 0.047-inch cutting diameter (3/64 inch) and a 0.141-inch length of cut (9/64 inch), this tool is built for fine-detail work in tight geometries. The AlTiN+ coating delivers elevated heat resistance and wear performance, extending tool life in demanding cuts. The 2-flute configuration promotes chip evacuation and suits a range of materials commonly machined in tool-and-die, aerospace, and precision manufacturing environments. Installation and use require a CNC machining center or manual mill with appropriate collet or chuck tooling.
This end mill is suited for finish milling, profiling, and contouring operations where a small-diameter ball nose profile is required. Its 1/8-inch (0.125-inch) cylindrical shank fits standard 1/8-inch collets and toolholders. The 1.5-inch overall length provides adequate reach for most shallow-pocket and surface-contouring applications without excessive overhang. The medium flute type balances rigidity with chip clearance. This tool is intended for use by machinists and CNC operators working with ferrous and non-ferrous metals, hardened steels, and similar materials where a high-performance carbide end mill is required.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with 1/8-inch collets or toolholders accepting a cylindrical shank. Verify spindle speed and feed rate parameters for the specific workpiece material before use.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder or collet. Ensure the collet bore matches the 0.125-inch shank diameter and that the tool is seated to the correct gauge-line depth before tightening. Do not exceed the manufacturer-recommended depth of cut for the cutting diameter to avoid tool deflection or breakage.
