The ACCUPRO 14788580 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal-cutting environments. Built with a 1/2-inch diameter, a 1-inch length of cut, and a 0.0300-inch corner radius, this tool is engineered to produce smooth, radiused edges while maintaining tight tolerances. The 4-flute spiral configuration promotes efficient chip evacuation and surface finish quality. An AlTiN+ coating enhances heat resistance and tool life during high-speed or dry machining applications. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, production facilities, and toolrooms rely on tools like this for profiling, slotting, and contouring work in ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers as well as manual knee mills where a 1-inch shank diameter can be accommodated. The single-end, centercutting design allows for plunge entry as well as peripheral and face milling passes. It is appropriate for profiling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar hard materials where an AlTiN+ coating provides a thermal and wear advantage. The 4-inch overall length gives sufficient reach for most standard fixturing setups without sacrificing rigidity.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill suitable for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1-inch shank diameter tool holder.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine control in a safe, locked-out state. Seat the 1-inch shank fully and evenly in the tool holder before tightening to prevent runout. Confirm tool projection and radial clearance against the workpiece and fixture before initiating a cut. Always verify spindle speed and feed rate settings match the tool manufacturer recommendations for the material being machined.
