The ACCUPRO 14788543 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining applications. With a 5/16 inch (0.3130 inch) mill diameter and four helical flutes, this centercutting end mill removes material efficiently in both peripheral and plunge cuts. The 1-1/8 inch length of cut provides substantial engagement depth for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations. Solid carbide construction delivers rigidity and wear resistance across a range of workpiece materials. This tool is used by machinists and toolroom technicians operating CNC mills, vertical machining centers, and manual knee mills.
This end mill is well suited for precision machining in job shops, production environments, and toolroom applications. Its cylindrical shank matches the 5/16 inch mill diameter, allowing it to seat in standard ER collets or end mill holders of that bore size. The helical flute geometry promotes chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces during side milling and full-slot passes. The centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole, adding flexibility to multi-operation setups.
Designed for use in standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and side-lock holders with a 5/16 inch bore. Compatible with CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped for cylindrical-shank tooling of this diameter.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Seat the cylindrical shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the collet or holder before torquing to the holder manufacturer's specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use and do not exceed the recommended axial and radial depth-of-cut limits for carbide tooling of this diameter.
