The ACCUPRO 14788525 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 5/16 inch (0.3130 inch decimal) cutting diameter, a 1/2 inch length of cut, and a 0.0200 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in demanding materials. The 4-flute, single-end geometry with right-hand cutting direction suits finishing and semi-finishing passes. An AlTiN+ coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures, making this tool well-suited for ferrous and hardened alloy workpieces. Licensed machinists and CNC tool-room technicians are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is appropriate for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills where a center-cutting, spiral-flute tool is required. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece without a pre-drilled hole. At 2.0 inches overall length and a 5/16 inch shank diameter, it fits standard ER and end mill holders used in production and job-shop environments. Applications include profiling, slotting, and finishing operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials where corner geometry control is critical.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard cutting tool for use in any machining setup accepting a 5/16 inch shank end mill with a 2.0 inch overall length.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in a safe state before changing tooling. Secure the shank fully within the tool holder to the recommended clamping depth and verify runout with a dial indicator before cutting. Follow all applicable shop safety procedures and machine manufacturer guidelines when setting speeds and feeds for the workpiece material.
