The ACCUPRO 14788456 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. Built with four helical flutes and a centercutting geometry, this end mill handles both plunge and peripheral cutting without a secondary operation. The 1.50 mm mill diameter and 5.00 mm length of cut make it well suited for fine detail work, slotting, and profiling in tight geometries. With a helix angle in the 29 to 31 degree range, it provides a balance of cutting efficiency and chip evacuation. The 3.000 mm cylindrical shank fits standard collet and toolholder setups found on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is intended for use in precision machining environments where small-diameter tooling is required. It is commonly used in mold and die work, medical component manufacturing, and general aerospace or prototype machining where tight tolerances and clean finishes on small features are critical. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry into workpiece material, eliminating the need for a pre-drilled pilot hole in many setups. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers working with ferrous and non-ferrous materials will find this tool fits standard small-diameter applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit solid carbide square end mill for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills equipped with collet or end mill holders accepting a 3.000 mm cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and the tool changer or spindle lock is engaged before mounting or removing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or toolholder and torque the retention nut according to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut to avoid premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
