The ACCUPRO 14788398 is a 3-flute solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal, composites, and similar materials. With a mill diameter of 0.2190 inches (7/32 inch) and a 5/8-inch length of cut, this tool delivers clean, flat-bottomed cuts across a wide range of milling applications. The solid carbide construction provides rigidity and wear resistance compared to high-speed steel alternatives. The centercutting geometry allows the tool to plunge directly into the workpiece, expanding its versatility on the shop floor. Machinists and tooling professionals working on CNC mills or manual equipment will find this end mill suited to finishing and profiling tasks where tight tolerances are required.
This end mill fits standard applications in job shops, tool rooms, and production machining environments. The 1/4-inch cylindrical shank seats into standard collets and end mill holders commonly found on vertical machining centers and manual knee mills. The helical flute geometry promotes chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup during cutting. With an overall length of 2.5 inches, this tool is well suited to shallow-pocket and profile milling where reach is not a limiting factor. Extended reach is not a feature of this tool, so it is best applied in setups where workpiece access is straightforward.
Designed as a standard-shank replacement end mill for use in CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills equipped with 1/4-inch collets or end mill holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following safe tooling-change procedures. Power down and lock out the spindle before seating or removing the tool. Ensure the cylindrical shank is clean and fully seated in the collet or holder to the recommended engagement depth before torquing the retaining nut. Verify runout with an indicator before beginning production cuts.
