The ACCUPRO 14788383 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining applications. It features a 5/16 inch (0.3130 inch) mill diameter with a matching 5/16 inch cylindrical shank, providing a rigid, low-runout setup in standard collets and end mill holders. The two-flute helical design supports efficient chip evacuation, and the centercutting geometry allows plunge milling in addition to conventional peripheral and slot cutting. With a 1-1/2 inch length of cut and 6 inch overall length, this tool is suited for reaching deeper features without sacrificing rigidity. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is appropriate for general-purpose milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a two-flute configuration is preferred for improved chip clearance. The 6 inch overall length makes it useful in setups requiring extended reach into pockets, slots, or stepped features. It is not configured with a chipbreaker or extended-reach geometry beyond the standard 6 inch body. The solid carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for higher-speed cutting compared to high-speed steel alternatives.
Designed as a standard-shank replacement or new-installation solid carbide square end mill for use in CNC machining centers, manual mills, and router applications accepting a 5/16 inch cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder and torque the retention hardware according to the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the shank and collet bore for chips or contamination before seating the tool. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in a safe state before any tool change operation.
