The ACCUPRO 14788350 is a 2-flute, solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a mill diameter of 0.109 inches (7/64 inch) and a 1.5-inch overall length, this end mill delivers accurate cuts in tight tolerances. The centercutting geometry allows the tool to plunge directly into the workpiece, expanding its versatility across slotting, profiling, and plunge milling tasks. Helical flutes with a 29 to 31 degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A 0.125-inch cylindrical shank provides secure tool holding in standard collet or chuck setups.
This end mill is suited for use on CNC machining centers, manual knee mills, and benchtop mills where small-diameter precision tooling is required. It is well matched for applications involving non-ferrous metals, aluminum, plastics, and light steel where fine detail work and close-tolerance slot or contour milling are demanded. The 0.188-inch length of cut limits engagement depth, making it appropriate for shallow finishing passes and detail work rather than deep roughing operations. Machinists in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments will find this tool useful for fine feature milling.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for applications requiring a 7/64-inch (0.109-inch) diameter, 2-flute solid carbide square end mill with a 1/8-inch cylindrical shank.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolroom practices. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for the 0.125-inch shank diameter, and torque the drawbar or collet nut to the machine manufacturer's specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut, as excessive runout will accelerate wear on small-diameter carbide tools and compromise dimensional accuracy.
