The ACCUPRO 14788335 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metal, composites, and engineering plastics. With 2 helical flutes and a centercutting geometry, this end mill can plunge directly into workpiece material as well as perform peripheral and slot milling. The mill diameter measures 0.328 inches (21/64 inch) with a 3/8-inch cylindrical shank and a 7/8-inch length of cut. A helix angle in the 38 to 42 degree range promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces heat buildup at the cutting zone, making it suitable for both roughing and finishing passes in a variety of CNC and manual milling applications.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual vertical mills where close-tolerance slot milling, profiling, and plunge cutting are required. The 21/64-inch diameter is a common size for precision feature work in tool-and-die, aerospace component, and general metalworking applications. Solid carbide construction provides greater rigidity and wear resistance compared to high-speed steel, particularly at elevated spindle speeds. The 2.5-inch overall length gives adequate reach for most standard fixturing setups without sacrificing stiffness.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/8-inch cylindrical shank tool holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in a safe-lock state before changing tooling. Seat the cylindrical shank fully and evenly in the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism according to the holder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as carbide tools are brittle and should not be used if the edge is compromised.
