The ACCUPRO 14777966 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in aluminum and other non-ferrous materials. It features a 0.75 inch mill diameter, a 0.03 inch corner radius, and five flutes arranged in a right-hand spiral with a variable index geometry. The 2.25 inch length of cut and 5 inch overall length make it well suited for medium-depth slotting, profiling, and finishing passes. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the rigidity and edge retention needed for demanding aluminum applications. A bright, uncoated finish minimizes material adhesion on aluminum. This tool is part of the ACCUPRO AL-5 series, engineered specifically for aluminum milling operations.
This end mill is intended for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where aluminum, soft alloys, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials are processed. The single-end, straight-cylindrical shank fits standard ER collets and end mill holders. The chipbreaker geometry helps evacuate chips efficiently during deep slotting or high-feed passes in aluminum. Machinists and tool and die professionals working in job shops, aerospace fabrication, and general metalworking will find this tool appropriate for roughing and semi-finishing operations where a corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations at the base of milled features.
Designed for use in standard CNC machining centers and manual mills with holders accepting a 0.75 inch straight-cylindrical shank. Optimized for aluminum milling per the AL-5 series application rating.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully in the collet or end mill holder and torque the retention mechanism to the machine or holder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling.
