The ACCUPRO 14556488 is a single-end ball end mill designed for high-performance milling in hardened steels, stainless alloys, and difficult-to-machine materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the rigidity and edge retention needed for demanding finishing and semi-finishing passes. The mill features a 40-degree helix angle and an AlTiN+ coating that provides oxidation resistance and extends tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. The four-flute spiral geometry supports efficient chip evacuation while maintaining a smooth surface finish. Machining professionals and CNC operators rely on this tool for precision contouring, slotting, and profiling applications where dimensional accuracy is critical.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical and horizontal machining centers running right-hand spindle rotation. The 0.7500-inch diameter and 1.5000-inch length of cut make it well-matched for medium-depth profiling, pocket milling, and 3D contouring in both production and job-shop environments. The standard length configuration and 0.7500-inch shank diameter allow direct mounting in a wide range of ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholders. The 4.0000-inch overall length provides adequate projection while minimizing deflection on typical setups.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide ball end mill suitable for use in CNC machining centers accepting a 0.7500-inch straight shank with standard ER collet chucks, end mill holders, or hydraulic toolholders running right-hand rotation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified CNC machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is in a safe state before loading or changing tooling. Clean the shank and toolholder bore before assembly to remove chips, coolant residue, or burrs that can affect runout. Verify shank stick-out and torque the retention knob or collet nut to the toolholder manufacturer's specification before beginning a cut.
